Workshop on Non-Proliferation of Advanced Conventional Weapons (ACW) - Yerevan

On July 28-29, the Center for Strategy and Development (CSD) organized workshops in Yerevan dedicated to the non-proliferation of Advanced Conventional Weapons (ACW). The events gathered representatives from government institutions, the private sector, and civil society to strengthen their understanding of international sanctions, export controls, and compliance practices.

The workshops, led by an international expert, combined presentations, practical case studies, and interactive exercises. Participants explored the risks associated with ACW and dual-use goods, reviewed real-world scenarios, and discussed approaches to identifying red flags in transactions and supply chains. Special attention was given to the role of cooperation between public and private actors in building stronger compliance frameworks.

Feedback from participants underscored the relevance of the training and emphasized the importance of continued capacity-building in this critical field. The high level of engagement demonstrated both the growing awareness of ACW-related risks and the demand for further resources and dialogue platforms.

CSD thanks the U.S. Department of State, Office of Cooperative Threat Reduction, for its partnership and support in making this initiative possible.
